Visitors should allow one to two hours to view the
Texas Energy Museum. The Museum exhibitions are self-guided and include
several audio-visual experiences.
The
Museum is located in the heart of Beaumont’s downtown Museum District.
The Museum District includes, within walking distance, four museums of
art and history.
Restaurants,
cafes, and sandwich shops are located within walking distance of the
Museum. The downtown area also includes evening live music venues and
performing arts theaters.
For a complete Oil Heritage Tour of southeast Texas, visitors should also visit the nearby McFaddin Ward Historic House and the Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown Museum.
